First let’s cover a stage’s normal version. The normal version of a stage is what it was originally developed to look like. Let’s take an example. Below is an image of the normal version of the Green Hill Zone stage from Sonic The Hedgehog. The normal version of that stage is a dip in the middle of the stage and is also known as a walk off stage. This stage is one of most unique stages in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate because there are no other stages that look or play like Green Hill Zone.

Now let’s look at one of the different versions of Green Hill Zone, this is known as the Battlefield version. This version takes the layout and overall theme of Green Hill Zone and turns it into a much more balanced stage for the players to fight on. The layout originates from the stage named Battlefield (hence the name being Battlefield form). Battlefield is a stage with one big platform with 3 smaller platforms floating above the big main platform.

Finally, lets look at the Final destination form. This form of stage is the simplest stage in the game, one big platform and that’s it! There are no platforms like in the battlefield version and nothing can interfere the battle.
